My recent stay at a boutique hotel in Nitra, while picturesque with its serene garden and views of Zobor mountain, came with mixed feelings. The modern and spacious rooms provided a comfortable retreat, but the morning odors wafting in from the toilet left much to be desired. It was unsettling to wake up a few times, wondering if I had, indeed, made a wrong turn during the night. Now onto the culinary side of things-the hotel's restaurant had a reputation for innovation, and I was eager to sample the offerings. While the quality of the meals was impressive, the prices had a slight sticker shock, especially given the service hiccup with breakfast. I had anticipated a 7 AM start, only to find the spread was not available until 8. On a brighter note, I appreciated the 24-hour front desk service and the convenience of free WiFi, which kept me connected during my downtime. If you're a foodie drawn to delightful dining experiences, this hotel might tempt you, just adjust your expectations based on some of the less-than-ideal elements. While my visit had its highs and lows, it offered a mixed bag worth considering in your travels.
